We had our tubes put in yesterday! Both Aaron and Josh had tubes put in each of their ears to help with all the problems we’ve had with ear infections over the last 9 months.  The actual tubes are tiny cylinders placed through the ear drum to help better drain fluid and equalize pressure that was causing them discomfort and ear infections. Its possbile that all the ear infections have had a negative effect on the boys’ hearing, so this procedure should correct that. The tubes should fall out on their own in about a year.

Aaron is not happy that the surgeries are scheduled in alphabetical order instead of birth order

The procedure was very minor as far as any surgery goes, but they still had to go under anesthesia for the first time so it was a little bit of a eventful day. But both boys did great and they were up and back to normal within a half hour or so of the actual surgery.  It turns out the biggest issue was just not being able to eat breakfast and both Josh and Aaron were ready to pig out when we left the outpatient clinic to go out to lunch!

Josh, are you ready it's almost your turn!

I don't think so...I'm outta here!
